With the new school year just one week away, it’s time to begin to prepare for the upcoming year.

Keeping with tradition, Madison will be hosting their annual Fall Kickoff this Friday, Aug. 24. Rising freshmen are encouraged to show up early at 3:30 p.m. to get their schedules and find their lockers in their new school.

All other students should plan to arrive at 4:00 p.m., where they will be able to complete their beginning of the year tasks. Students will be able to get their PE uniforms and schedules, and seniors will be able to purchase parking passes.

Students in grades 10 through 12 and are new to Madison should expect to arrive at 3:00 p.m. for new student orientation.

For those interested in signing up for a Madison club for the 2018-19 school year, they will be able to find clubs and activities located in the Cafeteria.

In the back parking lot, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Madison will be hosting their “County Fair,” a pregame event for the first football game of the season. Here, there will be music, games and food trucks for all students to enjoy.

Madison football kicks off their season on Friday at 7:30 p.m., when they will face Marshall High School at home.
