The James Madison High School Marching Band was recognized at halftime of Friday night’s home football playoff game.

The Madison band had won the Virginia State Championship at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. the prior weekend. Bands from all around the state of Virginia competed in the event.

Madison defeated Bassett High School by 0.05 points in the final round to clinch the title.
