Seniors rate Manhattan runs

Before school on any given day, Manhattan Bagel will be full of Madison students getting breakfast before first period; however, it has become a tradition for seniors Jack Halloran (’17) and Keyan Tahmasebi (’17) to go to Manhattan Bagel before school every Friday.  They call this routine “Manhattan Friday”, and it has been occurring every week of the school year since their junior year. If anyone knows bagels, it is them.

It is a known fact that Manhattan Bagel cafe is the place to go for breakfast before school. But what are the best bagels at the best bagel place in town? I went to the experts to find out.

As if a bagel isn’t already enough carbs — Tahmasebi’s expert tip is to add a side of hashbrowns, a hidden gem on the Manhattan menu. “The hash browns are cooked in bacon grease and are the most delicious thing I have ever put in my mouth,” Tahmasebi said.

Next time you are at Manhattan Bagel, try one of these bagels for yourself and maybe even add hashbrowns to your order. Chances are likely that on a Friday morning the experts will be having their bagel breakfast in the senior lot.
