With the spring season in progress, athletics are in full swing at Madison. The thriving athletic department supports- among other sports- impressive softball and lacrosse teams that over the years, have accumulated many awards. Spring sports began in April, and the teams have spent the past months hard at work preparing for the ongoing tournaments.

The Madison softball team has had a very prolific season. They head into post season with a 19-2 record and are rated first in the concorde region. The team has shown great results and have really bonded as a team. As dedicated as the team is to achieving great results the team is a positive and welcoming environment for the girls on the team.

“My best memory on the team was my first hit of the season because of the rest of my team cheering and supporting me,” said Lucy Griepentrog (’25)

The Madison boys Lacrosse team has a 14-2 record and are rated first in the concorde region with a seven win streak. The team has been in the midst of the tournament and have concentred on prepping for their upcoming games.
