As the weather in Vienna transitions from spring to summer, the peak of spring allergy season finally passes. Many students at Madison breathe a sigh of relief as they are able to respire properly again. But how did students mitigate the negative effects of their allergies during a season in which the air is filled with pollen?
Sophomore Tristan Moss (’28) shares some insight:
“During the spring season, to help keep my allergies in check I use CVS’s allergy relief medication to help with my overall state during the day,” Moss said. “I also make sure to wash my hands and face, and I take an extra shower on days where my allergies are the worst.”
Allergy medicines are a common remedy for students.
“I mostly just get a congested nose, and I normally take allergy medicine like Flonase,” Chloe Chow (’27) said.
Some students in our school continue to suffer with allergies as we head into the summer season, but it is a relief to a great many more that the peak of spring allergy time is coming to a close. If you suffer from either spring or summer allergies, make sure to take your medicine and wash your hands every day to avoid the worst symptoms!
